- DAVIDE’S PARTY BIKE -

In my opinion, but quite possibly not in my painter, Jack’s, this could be the coolest paint we’ve ever laid on a bike here at Feather. So much so, ever since I picked this bike up from Jack, I have been referring to it as the ‘party bike’, little to Davide’s knowledge. It looks equally as suited to being a major feature of a carnival parade as it does to dance up and down the Devonshire moorland and in all the right ways.

As a builder, there is something ultra satisfying about building bike for someone with an audacious approach the build and daring enough to have some fun with it. It can be pretty daunting to really go crazy with the paint, but whenever it happens it somehow works out. I think the balance of the clients idea mixed in with the relationship Jack and I have, and my approach to trusting Jack to really nail a job from a crude 2D mock up really shows in this one. The colours, the proportions, the material choices and the experimenting Jack does with virtually every job he does for me really show on a bike like this. This whole idea came from a pixelated photo of an Aztec style tie on Instagram, sometimes simple is best.

Davide, you have yourself a real head turner and one of my personal favourites to date. Enjoy the ride!
